Nationwide, we are top-ranked department of physiology which produces the highest number of international publications as well as M.Sc. and Ph.D. graduates.
Our department has two international graduate programs, Graduate Program in Physiology and Graduate Program in Exercise Science/Exercise Physiology. In both program, two degrees, M.Sc. and Ph.D., are offered and many scholarships are available to both Thai and international students. International atmosphere in these programs is promoted through enrollment of oversea students in the programs, oversea student exchange programs and international collaboration. The research programs in the department cover nearly all areas of physiology to ensure the fulfillment of student’s interest. Furthermore, the department is well equipped with state-of-the art instruments and facilities that make possible the performance of basic as well as applied research of international standard. Followings are examples of research groups in our department.
- Calcium and bone research
- Cardiac physiology
- Drug discovery and membrane physiology
- Herbal based drug discovery, anti-cancer, anti-aging
- Epithelial transport and muscle stem cells research group
- Exercise & applied physiology
In addition to a wide range of research topics, our department has research collaboration with laboratories in several universities and Institutes in USA, Europe, Canada, Japan and Korea.
