Field of specialization :

 

- Functional genomics study in cassava (starch quality and quantity for industrial application / biotic stress / abiotic stress)
- Biochemical and molecular genetics study in rubber tree (latex yield / stress response)
- Epigenetics control: Implications for plant improvement

 

Research Interests :

 

 I have been particularly interested in the mechanisms regulating plant gene expression. I use forward and reverse genetic approaches to identify gene functions that are potentially useful in the production of high yields of novel products in crop plants and other biotechnological application. Recent research interests has been focusing on Plant functional genomics study in cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz.), Biochemical and molecular genetics study in rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis L.), and Epigenetic control for plant improvement.
