The goal of FGG is to bridge the gap between Biochemistry and Genetics. Functional genetic analysis, genome biology, systems biology, synthetic biology, evo-devo, and important model organisms are discussed in this class. The syllabus is designed to prepare students for the latest research trends published in leading journals and to provide students with the working knowledge of molecular genetic tools useful for biochemists and molecular biologists.
