    APPLYING TO THE SIM New!
 

 To be eligible for freshman admissions, an applicant must graduate from or is studying in the final term of a Mathayom  Suksa 6 Secondary Education of Thailand (M.6) or grade 12 or its equivalent in Science and Mathematics program under  following conditions:
                > Graduated from or studying in Mathayom Suksa 6 (M.6) in Thai system school, or
                > Graduated from an international school in Thailand, or
                > Graduated from an overseas Institute

 

Remark:

> Applicant with IGCSE or GCSE or GCE qualification must have IGCSE or GCSE or GCE "O" level at least 5 different subjects, and GCE "AS" level or GCE "A" level at least 3 different subjects with minimum grade of C. From 2017 onwards, applicants who graduated from international schools and overseas institute with UK education system must have IGCSE or GCSE or GCE "O" level  at least  different 5 subjects, and GCE "AS" level or GCE "A" level at least different 3 subjects, 8 subjects in total, with minimum grade of C.

 
> Applicant with OLD GED qualification must pass 5 different subjects with a minimum total score of 3,600.
 
> Applicant with NEW GED qualification must pass 4 different subjects with a minimum total scores of 720.
 
> Applicant who graduated from New Zealand must earn NCEA level 2 at least 80 credits (at least 60 credits at level 2 or higher, the remaining 20 credits can be from level 1, 2 and 3).

A letter of intent is a brief essay submitted as part of your quota admission document to the SIM. It shows your intendtion to enroll by informing admission of your educational and scientific background. Our interview committee reviews the letter of intent, along with the other submitted documents, to assess whether an applicant is a worthy candidate for the SIM program.

Total SAT II scores 2,200: Mathematics (level 2 550), Chemistry (550), Physics (550) and Biology- Molecular biology (550). Entrance exam will be waived if applicants submit the SAT II subjects scores.

- A qualification equivalency certificate of basic education issued by Ministry of Education, Thailand if applicant holds IGCSE/ GCSE/ GCE.

- A certificate or diploma from school if graduated from an international school in Thailand, OR a certificate from that country if graduated from overseas institution
